DOCUMENT INTRODUCTION (crap THIS-IS-OLD)
This page is reallllllly out-dated at this point.
There are a few clones of it in a particular gist
IT IS CERTAINLY about time to start updating this page and the form its presented in, however until then you’ll just have to pretend this is good enough 🙊
Software for Reading
- Calibre allows you to organize your ebook messes of messes into tidy libraries (it did for me).
- SumatraPDF for WINDOWS uses MuPDF, and can “read” DJVU, EPUB, MOBI, AZW/AZW3, PDF, and more.
- DjVuLibre DjVu ebook reading software for WIN, MAC and GNU/LINUX is worth pointing out (if you don’t have windows/SumatraPDF). -On-line sources for digital books predominantly in PDF format and other formats such as TeX, EPUB, MOBI (Kindle), Etc…
- This page is a continuous work in progress. It started as a programming book library page for the programming section of this site. You can download a markdown version of this page on the gist page or right-click/save-as.
As much as I would like all the materials on this page to be freely available, not all (though the majority) are.
PROGRAMMING BOOKS & LIBRARIES
List of Free Learning Resources (most importantly)
If you want to find a learning resource, you should definitely check out our site, Free Learning Resources. And for those who want to learn a computer language, you should check out these books on reSRC.io or on github. This list initially was a clone of stackoverflow - List of Freely Available Programming Books by George Stocker. Now updated, with dead links gone and new content.
Author: Bjarne Stroustrup (INVENTOR OF C++ STD)
note: this is the only programming book I’d listed, —partly because of the resource listed above. I very much advocate the man’s books as well as CPU/APU/GPU OpCode instructions.

RFC — The RFC series was originated in 1969 by Steve Crocker of UCLA, to organize the working notes of the new ARPAnet research program. For 28 years, this RFC series was managed and edited by the Internet pioneer Jon Postel. For the history of the series, see ”30 Years of RFCs” and ”40 Years of RFCs“.
Official Internet Protocol Standards: HTML (RFC’s are ASCII/TXT format)
The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) — The mission of the IETF is to make the Internet work better by producing high quality, relevant technical documents that influence the way people design, use, and manage the Internet. Newcomers to the IETF should start here.

must ADD here that the payoff in targeting, learning practicing GNU coding standards using some of the following
packages
or tool-sets allows one to leverage 30 years worth of development on x-win, windows, linux and so forth. GNU and FSF software running smoothly across platforms is still, kind-of a NEW thing, but there is a lot in this world of free-software worth keeping that way and the best way to do this is to keep up with it a little.
GNU Coding Standards — GNU coding standards aside, AUTOCONF, AUTOMAKE, BASH, GREP, MAKE, (the list goes on and onnn)… GNU make/build-system (arguably) remains one of the most versatile build systems available to most computer operating environments.

Observations, theories and math thesis/articles from ‘academia’.
Cornell University Library (arXiv) — An expansive archive, with a large number of subjects is covered. The major subjects are physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance and statistics – branching in to numerous sub-categories per subject.
“arXiv is an e-print service in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance and statistics. Submissions to arXiv should conform to Cornell University academic standards. arXiv is owned and operated by Cornell University, a private not-for-profit educational institution. arXiv is funded by Cornell University Library, the Simons Foundation and by the member institutions.”

MIT news
I must admit, I didn’t find academic publications (such as provided by Cornell above) on the MIT portal after spending a tiny portion of time. Though the news section looked a little inspiring.

AUDIO BOOK
While this section seems a bit too out of place for my liking, there are not many sources for audio-books out there. While you-tube happens to be a wonderful source of audio-books, many of the audio-books up there tend to be from publicly available sources.

“In 1453, Constantinople fell to the Turks, ending the Byzantine empire. This date also marks the beginning of the Renaissance, since the waves of Greek refugees spread knowledge of Greek throughout Europe. Included with the newly available Greek manuscripts were the Corpus Hermetica, Plotinus, and the works of the Neoplatonists.
Shortly thereafter in 1492, Isabella and Ferdinand expelled the Jews from Spain. This sent waves of Jewish refugees throughout Europe, spreading knowledge of Hebrew and of the Kabbalah.
Renaissance philosophers sought to integrate these traditions with the view of unifying the rapidly disintegrating religious factions and also ending the constant political strife. Thus they are the forerunners or prophets of the Rosicrucian and Illuminati movements.”

“The Standard Spiritualist and Occult Corpus (SSOC) is an open source text project, focused on book-length texts, in English, covering Spiritualism, the occult, New Thought and allied parasciences (mesmerism, magnetism, phrenology, alchemy, chiromancy and so forth) published between 1790 and 1940. Currently (Release 1.1) the SSOC consists of more than 2,300 book-length texts (more than 1 million pages) by over 300 authors, and includes many of the texts considered “classics” in Spiritualism and the occult. Every text in the SSOC is supplied, free of charge, in indexed PDF form, allowing it to be electronically stored, searched, printed and converted (to image, HTML or text). The outer, later bound of the corpus is limited by copyright law.”

Anastasia (9 book series)
from the author’s web-site:
“At the beginning of Perestroika (reforms of the late 1980s) he was the president of the Inter-Regional Association of Siberian Entrepreneurs. In 1994-5 he organized two large-scale trade expeditions with a fleet of river steamers along the River Ob along the route Novosibirsk — Salekhard — Novosibirsk at his own expense. On this trip, an encounter with Anastasia in the Siberian taiga changed his entire life.”
To my understanding, BOOK I of this series is available for free on Kindle.
DR. RICHARD ALAN MILLER
(NOTE) The work of ‘RAM’ is best looked into via a search engine as the public materials provided by RAM are somewhat vast compared to my inclination to provide an index to his content. For brevity, I’ve provided a thesis below and a link to his web-site. RAM is quite active in the public domain providing his ideas via his blog, publications as he is interviewed several radio shows.
“Author and researcher Dr. Richard Alan Miller reveals a depth of knowledge and experience in Alternative Agriculture, Physics, and Metaphysics. Miller began working in the secret world of Navy Intel (Seal Corp. and then MRU) in the late 60s, and now has amazing experiences and conclusions to share. His writings reveal a depth of knowledge and experience in three major fields; Alternative Agriculture, Physics, and Metaphysics. Before many leading edge concepts became trendy topics, Miller was (and is) in the international front lines of research, experimentation and documentation. Today, Miller writes for Nexus magazine and is a preferred guest on internet radio. In the 21st century Miller is re-emerging at a critical time in humanities evolution where metaphysics and practical survival converge.”

1973 A HOLOGRAPHIC CONCEPT OF REALITY
by RICHARD ALAN MILLER, BURT WEBB, and DARDEN DICKSON
“Abstract: The organization of any biological system is established by a complex electrodynamic field which is, in part, determined by its atomic physiochemical components and which, in part, determines the behavior and orientation of these components. The holographic model of reality emerging from this principle may provide a scientific explanation of psychoenergetic phenomena.”

Sean David Morton
“The Sean” is one of the most energetic authorities on all matters that might seem to matter at the moment because, —well… Somebody has got to step up to the plate ;) All kidding aside, the man is extensively chock full of information on all things supernatural and historical. Though one might consider his books a little pricey, the man spends two hours a week-day on the radio and is open to calls and good-hearted conversation.

“Read and meditate. Re-read, and meditate further.”
“The University of Science and Philosophy , which was formerly The Walter [& Lao] Russell Foundation, was formed for the purpose of giving to the world-family The Message of the Divine Iliad, by Walter Russell, which is a scientific explanation of God’s ways and processes in the construction of His universe, and the Message of a Living Philosophy, by Lao Russell, for illuminating man’s Cosmic way of Life in his long journey of life from the dark to God’s Light.”

IDIOM: A collection of words
Note that this list is a recent work in progress, and suggests intervention in the sense that I would like to both expand on this list, while at the same time embed the information in memory. So I like to think of this sort of like a set of flash-cards, but I’ll be adding more mathematicians, philosophers, sciences and etc. Again, the list started with a word I heard on a radio or television show or perhaps a website, and in stead of collecting lists of books, I thought that it would be a good idea to collect names that can be looked up via various media formats such as Wikipedia, an encyclopedia, Youtube and so on.
I like the idea of going through my book collection for word sources. The idea is to focus on source materials for common and uncommon idiom.
Note that in the future, I would like to organize chronology as well as formulate a database so that subject matter can be listed in several hierarchical fashions.
