Black Magic Design: DaVinci Resolve — “DaVinci Resolve is the world’s only solution that combines editing, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics and audio post production all in one software tool!” [from their website]

blender.org Blender 2.7X (w/animation-nodes) er whatever the 2.x series is still quite useful as is the new 3.X branch (w/geom-nodes)

Inkscape.org Inkscape is a vector-graphics design tool using and built within W3C’s SVG (scalable vector graphics) XML open-standard (file format).

Figma is a graphics editor for web developers as the software is written embedded in a chromium (web-browser) app. you can design things for the web, export images and wire-frames and even do some drawing.

Photoshop — as if I need to provide a link. in my reality, I rarely need to use photoshop but when I do its CS3. Photoshop is pretty-much after-effects now-a-days anyways which I’ll use if I have to.

we used Corel Draw having worked on patent drawings, generally doing ‘drafting’ and pretty-much, sort-of laughed at the illustrator dudes. nevertheless —they got their work done.

Looking from here, the study and practice of drawing or art in the form of graphics like drawing in pencil, charcoal, paint and other digital print and/or mixed-media is indeed, rather particular and complex in observing individuals who represent by creation through such media.

That said, the philosophy/ethos gained and exhibited here focuses on tools and utilities in order to expand ones understanding of the realms of technology here which can better facilitate a mind at “practice”, in consideration toward the many engineering feats holding up today’s current technological standing, particularly in the realm of DIGITAL ART, here.
